Biography
Paul Dailey (XM / RISE – Boston, MA)

A true veteran of the dance music scene in New England and beyond, Paul Dailey has been crafting his art for more than two decades.  Hailing from Boston, Paul has traveled extensively and performed in some of the top venues and cities in the world (including Philadelphia, Toronto, Santo Domingo, Chicago, Montreal, Minneapolis, and London - as well as WMC in Miami and the Movement/ DEMF in Detroit.)  Paul regularly plays at Rise and Avalon in Boston, Metronome in Burlington, and Sullivan Room in New York City.  He has played at some of the best parties and festivals in North America, alongside many of the best Techno DJs in the world including Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Marco Bailey, Adam Beyer, Christian Smith and Chris Liebing (to name a few.)

Paul also has many years of experience as a radio mix show DJ and hosts a weekly show called Hardwired (www.hardwiredradio.com), which is the only international techno mix show broadcast across North America on XM Satellite Radio (channel 80.)  Paul also hosts weekly broadcasts for Orion 1 Radio, iParty.com, and is a monthly resident (along with Timo Maas, Loco Dice, Adam Freeland and John Aquaviva) on Master Dub, an FM mix show syndicated across Italy.

Stepping from behind the decks, Paul has worked for more than a decade as a freelance journalist, contributing interviews, and reviews to numerous industry publications including DJ Times (worldwide), Kick Magazine (Toronto), Upfront UK (London) and dancemusic.about.com (worldwide).

In the studio, Paul has amassed an impressive discography of original releases, including EPs on labels in
Germany, Holland, Japan and the USA.  A student of the art of DJing for many years, Paul helped to found the DJ Mix Academy, the first DJ school in Boston and has been a guest speaker at Harvard University, Winter Music Conference in Miami, Amsterdam Dance Event in Holland, and the DJ Times Expo in Atlantic City.

A highly regarded performer, artist and industry leader; Paul is a DJ, Producer, Music Journalist, and teacher with impeccable credentials.  An unwavering supporter of techno and underground music in general, you can find Paul on the road nearly every weekend, tirelessly bringing his sound to audiences near and far. If you would like more information about Paul, you can visit his website (www.pauldailey.com), where you can access his complete press kit.  You can also drop him an e-mail: paul@pauldailey.com

Promoter Quotes: “The soul of efficacy with nary a beat misplaced, nor a fader turn wasted, he delivers a sonic onslaught of epic proportions every time he steps behind the decks.  Bottom line, Paul Dailey destroys…any room, any time, anywhere. Thank god he's on our side.” Jim Wright, Tweak Productions, Providence, RI

"2005 and 2006 have seen Paul Dailey emerge as a major player on the North American techno scene.  A truly genuine person and a polished DJ, I highly recommend Paul and believe in his ability to rock any party anywhere around the globe."

Justin Remilard, Nexus Artist Management

“Paul continues to work hard, contributing content that demonstrates a genuine understanding of dance music culture.  As a writer, he connects with his audience and turns complex ideas into easily understood articles.  As a panelist at our International DJ Expo, Paul has given our attendees plenty of insight into the real world of the working professional DJ.”

Jim Tremayne, Editor, DJ Times Magazine
